Plain-English terms. No fine-print traps.

Effective 14 May 2026 · Governing law: New South Wales, Australia, with carve-outs for your local consumer law rights.

1. The deal

Akros is a $9.99/month or $99.99/year subscription that calibrates a personal health plan from your data. Native iOS and Mac. There is no free tier — but the 7-day trial on monthly is completely free, no card charged if you cancel.

2. Cancel any time

Cancel from inside the app in three taps. We do not need a reason. No retention squeeze. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access through the period you paid for. We do not pro-rate refunds on annual unless you request one within 14 days of the charge.

3. Refunds

14-day no-questions refund on any charge. Apple handles refunds for App Store and Mac App Store purchases — visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the Akros charge, and pick "Request a refund". Apple usually responds within 48 hours. If Apple declines and you still want a refund, email hello@akros.life and we will work something out directly. After 14 days we still consider hardship refunds; we just ask you to write to us. Web-checkout charges (when you subscribe via the marketing site instead of the App Store) we refund directly within 3 business days.

4. What you own

Your data, always. We hold a limited licence to process it solely to render Akros to you. You can export everything as JSON at any time from Settings → Privacy → Export my data. You can delete everything by deleting your account — every row is hard-deleted within 30 days.

5. What we own

The Akros product (apps, marketing site, brand, source code, AI prompts, schemas) is the proprietary work of Mitsi Agarwal — copyright © 2026, all rights reserved. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Akros for the duration of your subscription. No reverse engineering, no resale, no scraping the App Store screenshots for a derivative product.

6. Not medical advice

Akros is a personal wellness tool. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. It is not a substitute for consultation with a licensed clinician. If a result alarms you, see your doctor. If you experience a medical emergency, call emergency services.

7. What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party ad pixels. We do not train AI foundation models on your data. We do not use price discrimination based on your onboarding answers — every user sees the same $9.99 or $99.99.

8. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime but make no formal SLA. If we have a sustained outage of more than 7 consecutive days, you may request a pro-rata credit by emailing hello@akros.life.

9. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you abuse the service (e.g. running automated scraping, attempting to extract our prompts, fraud, chargebacks without prior contact). We will email you first. We will refund any prepaid period.

10. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law, the UK Consumer Rights Act, the US Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, EU consumer directives, or equivalent legislation in your country.

11. Disputes

We will work in good faith to resolve any dispute by email first. If escalation is unavoidable, courts of New South Wales (Australia) have jurisdiction, subject always to your mandatory local consumer-protection rights.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; if a change is material we will email you 30 days in advance and ask for your re-acceptance. Continued use after a re-acceptance prompt counts as agreement.
